🎉 Hello World!

JQBX Jason / April 25, 2018

A little over a year ago I put digital pen to digital paper and started working on what would become JQBX. When I first pushed it live I sat in an empty room playing tracks for an audience of none. But after some persistence, blatant self promotion, and some redundant reddit posts (sorry mods!) the community turned started growing into something real and things took on a life of its own.

So now here we are. A community of over 50,000 JQBXers (“jukebox”-ers, if you don’t know by now) who have collectively played over 2 million tracks and and are responsible for roughly 20 million Spotify streams. A thriving community of music lovers and listeners with the strength to turn an unknown indie act into an underground indie act! I’ve been floored by this community’s creativity, ingenuity, and, most importantly, great taste in music. So I thought to myself, why not run with it and make a place for all of us to share what we know.

So let me introduce you to “The Music Blog” the JQBX of Music blogging. Here’s where you’ll find:

  • The deepest Spotify cuts as decided by our community of unpaid music experts.
  • Information about all the best live music events online and offline.
  • Op-Eds and News about any genre that can be found on JQBX.
  • More stuff… who knows, like everything else it’s up to the community.

So bookmark us, keep the tab open… whatever. We’ll be posting great stuff weekly.

Also we’re looking for writers! So please fill out the form below if you’re interested.

And as always, 🙏 thanks for using JQBX and helping us all make music better, together.
